The National Commission for Minorities is a statutory body set up through the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992 passed by the Parliament.
The NCM Act 1992 was amended in 1995, the National Commission for Minorities now consists of a Chairperson, a Vice Chairperson and five Members, out of which 5 Members including the Chairperson shall be from amongst the notified religious minority communities.
