Namdapha National Park is located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located between the Dapha bum range of Mishmi Hills and Patkai range of Hills. It was declared as a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1972 and as a National Park and Tiger Reserve in the year 1983.
The natural vegetation in the Namdapha National Park varies from tropical evergreen forest to temperate broadleaf and mixed forest with increase in elevation.
This National Park is rich in flora and fauna. The Namdapha flying squirrel is endemic to the park and it is categorized as Critically Endangered by the IUCN. All four pantherine species – leopard, snow leopard, tiger and clouded leopard are found in the park.
