Three Wars were fought between the two expanding empires – The British and the Konbaung Dynasty of Burma (now, Myanmar). These wars stretched over sixty years in the 19th century.
First Anglo – Burmese War (1824 – 1826)
The First Anglo – Burmese War or The first Burma War was fought due to friction between the British – held Chittagong in the north and Arakan in Western Burma.
The British won the first Burma War and it was concluded by The Treaty of Yandabo.
