The Paramilitary Forces of India are listed below :
1. Assam Rifles
The Assam Rifles guards the northeastern states of India. The administrative governing body over Assam Rifles is Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), while the operational control lies with the Ministry of Defence.
2. Border Security Force (BSF)
The BSF guards Indo-Pakistani border, Indo-Bangladeshi border and others. MHA is the governing body over BSF.
