Located in the heart of Himalayas, in the beautiful Indian state of Sikkim, the Khangchendzonga National Park is also a UNESCO world heritage site. The national park covers major area of the Himalaya global biodiversity hotspot and displays sub – tropical to alpine ecosystems.
This National Park is known for animals like Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Great Tibetan Sheep, Bharal and Musk Deer. It is also a habitat to a number of bird species like the Black-necked Crane, Grus nigricollis, Grey Peacock Pheasant, Himalayan Monal Pheasant, Blood Pheasant, Satyr Tragopan, Tibetan Snow Cock, and Himalayan Snow Cock.
